This image was featured in the 10 November, 2005 Edition of the Minneapolis Star Tribune for a special article about the sinking on the thirtieth anniversary.

The image almost entirely CG. Most of the waves were rendered in-program as a texture with specifc attributes such as reflection and transparency. The lights on the ship were also rendered in image. Most of the waves are post-production from various sources and photographs as is the Fitzgerald's exhaust. The end result is the chilling image of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

This was the first print I rendered in December of 2003. It features a bow view of the Fitzgerald next to a list of the crew when she went down in Lake Superior. On the right are schematic drawings of the ship. This print is no longer for sale.
